BLUE JASMINE (2013)
*This is just a very short review.
The film achieved the dramatic and painful story of a socialite that ended up mad, really mad. I admired the process of Woody Allen how he widely welcome the heavy reality all the way of his films and finally deals with the tragic ending. It’s all about the real deal! When it comes in the performance, Cate Blanchett shows her versatility and it is impossible not to feel for her character.
If you ask me I think it is identical to Streetcar named Desire (1951), also deals with social issues. (I have a review for that)
Well, I think the film has a touch of self-awareness which creates empathy with the audience. It is possible to sympathize with her or maybe you might think she deserves all that misfortune, well you’ll feel it if you watch it.
But I am 100% in awe w/ this film!
THIS FILM IS TRAGIC AND THAT MAKES IT BEAUTIFUL.
